Dr Jason Hwang is a consultant ENT surgeon at Care Sinus Snoring ENT Centre, Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore. He was born in Malaysia and speaks fluent English and Malay. He was awarded the ASEAN scholarship by the Singapore government at the age of 12 and subsequently completed his education in Singapore. At the National University of Singapore, he was awarded the Tan Hiak Kew scholarship and completed his MBBS and Masters of Medicine (ENT).
He subsequently underwent hands-on advanced training in Rhinology at McGill University and University of Montreal (Canada), as well as the Center for Rhinology and Allergy in Wiesbaden (Germany). He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and the European Rhinologic Society as well as a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Glasgow) and the American Rhinologic Society.
Besides general ENT care for adults and children, his subspecialty focus is on revision endoscopic sinus surgery, nasal polyps, chronic cough, nasal allergy, immunotherapy, endoscopic sinonasal tumor excision and computer guided surgery. He also has an interest in paediatric ENT and has been running a children’s ENT clinic at KK Children’s Hospital since 2007.
Dr Jason Hwang is an instructor for endoscopic sinus surgery and has been invited to teach at various hospitals and universities in Thailand, Brunei, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. He is a reviewer for the Singapore Medical Journal and was a member of the Singapore Ministry of Health’s 2010 committee on sinusitis and allergic rhinitis.
