ShanKai Yin, Director of Shanghai JiaoTong University Otolaryngology Institute, serves as a full professor and chief physician. Concurrently hold the position as vice President of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association otolaryngology head and neck surgery branch, Standing committee member and hearing group leader of the Chinese Medical Association of otolaryngology head and neck surgery branch. Designate Chairman of Shanghai Medical Association otolaryngology head and neck surgery branch, Vice President of Shanghai Medical Doctor Association otolaryngology head and neck surgery branch, Chairman of Youth Council of China International Exchange Promotive Association Health Care, International Editorial Board of Clinical Otolaryngology, Vice Chief Editor of journal of the Chinese journal of otolaryngology head and neck surgery and Journal of Chinese Otology. Awarded as the most famous doctor by Chinese Medical Doctor Association otolaryngology head and neck surgery branch.
Engaged in the clinical and basic research in the inner ear disease and obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS) for more than 30 years, applied the semicircular canal occlusion technique on horizontal semicircular canal BPPV, Meniere disease and fistula caused by cholesteatoma and many other kinds of inner ear disease. This technique has significantly improved the surgical curative effect and reduced the surgical complications and have been awarded second prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress. Research achievements obtained in pathogenesis and intervention's new strategy on sensorineural hearing loss have own the first prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress; Through a series of improvements on Genioglossus advancement technology, greatly improving the success rate of surgical treatment of OSAHS patients and reduce the surgical complications, this study has own the third prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress.
Undertaken more than 40 national and province key projects including national natural foundations outstanding youth fund project and sub-research project of 973 project,120 papers were included in SCI.
