Reuben is an Adj Associate Professor of Medicine, and specialist in Gastroenterology & Hepatology. He’s also a Fellow of the American Gastroeneterological Assocation, Royal College of Physicians and Academy of Medicine.

In his 18 years of public service, he introduced High Resolution Esophageal Manometry to and grew the utility of pH-Impedence testing in Singapore. He is also actively involved in drafting the new language for lower GI motility testing, and is 1 of 3 Asian representatives on the International Anorectal Physiology Workgroup.

Reuben founded the GIMotility workshop, an internationally renowned upper and lower motility hands-on teaching course that’s now into it’s 9th year.

Reuben has key publications in the field of IBS and chronic constipation, and also works on quality improvement in colon cancer screening. He also lectures actively in the realm of gut microbiota. He was also part of the team that introduced Fecal Transplantation to Singapore.

Reuben now practices as a founding partner of gutCARE, Singapore’s first GI Medicine group practice.
