DR COURTNEY CHOU

Clinical Instructor, Sleep Surgery Fellow
Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery
Stanford University
Palo Alto, California, USA

Courtney Chou is an otolaryngologist that is fellowship-trained and board-certified in sleep medicine.  She received her medical degree from the University of Virginia, completed her otolaryngology residency at the University of Pittsburgh, and subsequently a sleep medicine fellowship at Stanford University.  She is currently completing a dedicated sleep surgery fellowship with Drs. Robson Capasso and Stanley Liu at Stanford University.

She is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and a reviewer for the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine.  Her research interests include the anatomic and physiologic phenotyping of obstructive sleep apnea patients and the translation of phenotyping to the improvement of treatments as well as development of novel therapies.  Upon graduation, it is her hope to establish a practice offering the full complement of treatments – from soft tissue interventions to orthognathic surgery to upper airway stimulation – to patients with sleep apnea.
