DR PETE BATRA
Professor and Chairman Department of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery Rush University Medical Center Chicago, Illinois, USA Pete S. Batra, MD, FACS currently serves as the Chairman of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. He holds the Stanton A. Friedberg, MD Endowed Chair in Otolaryngology and is a Professor in the Rush Medical College. He is the Co-Director of Rush Center for Skull Base and Pituitary Surgery and also the Medical Director of the Rush Sinus, Allergy, and Asthma Center. Dr. Batra completed his internship and residency training at Northwestern University and then pursued fellowship training in rhinology and skull base surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. He has co-authored more than 200 peer-reviewed articles, invited reviews, and book chapters and delivered 400 lectured nationally and internationally on sinus disease and minimally invasive skull base surgery. His academic distinctions include American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery Distinguished Service Award, Best Doctors of America, the Cleveland Clinic Innovator Award, and Cleveland Clinic Head and Neck Institute Teacher of the Year Award. Dr. Batra is active in the American Rhinologic Society, recently serving on the Executive Committee and Secretary of the organization. He previously served on the ARS Board of Directors and is the Past Chair of the Patient Advocacy Committee. He is also active in the American Academy of Otolaryngology, serving on multiple committees. Dr. Batra is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a fellow of the Triological Society, American College of Surgeons and American Rhinologic Society.
