DR PETE WEBER

Dr Weber is currently the CMO of Auregen Therapeutics and Professor/Head of Otology/Neurotology/Skull Base Surgery at Boston University Medical Center. Prior to this Pete has served as CMO of Frequency Therapeutics, Decibel Therapeutics and Audion and clinically was Head of the Ear Institute and Neurotology/Skull Base Surgery for the Mt Sinai System, NYC.  He was the Global CMO for Cochlear Corp from 2010 – 2016.  Clinically has served as Professor and Head at the University of Massachusetts, Professor and Program Director at the Cleveland Clinic and before that Professor, Interim Chair and Vice Chair at the Medical University of South Carolina.    He trained in Otolaryngology at the University of Pittsburgh and completed his fellowship in Neurotology/Skull Base Surgery at the University of Iowa.  He is board certified in both.  In addition, he received his MBA from Duke University, his MD degree with distinction in research from Albany Medical College and an engineering BS/MS degree from Washington University in St Louis.

He has published over 100 articles, written three books, multiple book chapters and has had NIH sponsored research.  He has been very active in the Academy of Otolaryngology; serving on its Board of Directors, past chairman of the Board of Governors and many other committees, including the RUC, CPT and PERC.  He has received numerous international, national and local honors.  He serves as editor-in-chief of the American Journal of Otolaryngology.
