DR ROBSON CAPASSO
(11th SARC 2021 Faculty) Associate Professor, Chief, Sleep Surgery Division Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Stanford University Palo Alto, USA Robson Capasso is currently the Chief of Sleep Surgery and Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at Stanford University School of Medicine.
His quite extensive and unique training includes medical school and otolaryngology residency in Brazil, and further residencies and fellowships in head and neck and microvascular surgery, neurosciences and sleep medicine. Dr. Capasso has published and reviewed book chapters, articles and original papers in peer-reviewed journals, with and an in-depth analysis of the current data through detailed systematic reviews and has been an investigator on the very challenging field of pre-treatment evaluation of obstructive sleep apnea patients for targeted interventions. He is a reviewer for several prestigious publications including Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, Sleep and Breathing, American Journal of Neuroradiology amongst others. The global recognition of his work is often associated with one of his favorite tasks: lecturing and trading knowledge in numerous meetings around the world. As a by-product of this, he currently offers all available tools in the most up to date management of sleep apnea. |
