PROF JONATHAN TING
Professor & Chair Department of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery Indiana University School of Medicine Indianapolis, USA Jonathan Y. Ting, MD, MS, MBA is the Richard T. Miyamoto Professor and Chair of the Department of Otolaryngology—Head & Neck Surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Western Ontario and completed residency and a postdoctoral research fellowship at Indiana University, where he also earned a Master of Science in Clinical Research. He later completed an MBA in Finance at the Kelley School of Business and a fellowship in rhinology and anterior skull base surgery at Harvard Medical School’s Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.
Dr. Ting was the first fellowship-trained rhinologist in Indiana and established a high-volume multidisciplinary skull base surgery program at IU. His clinical focus includes complex sinonasal, skull base, and orbital surgery. He also directs the nation’s longest-running postgraduate anatomy course in otolaryngology. Prior to becoming chair, he served as Vice Chair for Academic Affairs and co-directed the IU Rhinology and Skull Base Fellowship. Dr. Ting is co-founder of the SNOT FORCE Alliance, a collaborative research group focused on improving outcomes in sinonasal and skull base disorders. He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications and lives in Indianapolis with his wife and three children. |
