Dr. Schwartz received both his undergraduate and medical degrees from Harvard University, where he graduated magna cum laude. Following completion of his residency and chief residency at The Neurological Institute of New York at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, Dr. Schwartz received further training in surgical treatment of brain tumors and epilepsy at Yale-New Haven Medical Center, as well as further research training at the Max Planck Institute in Germany.
Dr. Schwartz is the David and Ursel Barnes Endowed Professor of Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery, Vice-Chairman of Clinical Research, Director of Anterior Skull Base and Pituitary Surgery and Director of Epilepsy Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine, New York Presbyterian Hospital.
