Dr. Liu is an Associate Professor of Otolaryngology at Stanford University School of Medicine. He directs the sleep surgery fellowship where postgraduate otolaryngologists are trained in the full scope of sleep surgery, including nasal, palatal, skeletal, and neurostimulation procedures. Dr. Liu has published over 100 scientific texts with emphasis on: 1) Refining the sleep surgery algorithm with dynamic airway endotyping using DISE and ultrasound, and 2) addressing disparity in sleep surgery outcome related to gender and ethnic differences. He is a Stanford Biodesign faculty fellow and advises innovation efforts at various stages of development to improve sleep care.
