​Dr Andy Chua is a Consultant at the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, Sengkang General Hospital. He also serves as Physician Faculty on the Singhealth Otolaryngology Residency Programme.

He was awarded the NUS Undergraduate Scholarship to read Medicine at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and graduated with Dean's List honours. He obtained the MRCS(Edinburgh), and went on to complete Residency training with the SingHealth programme. During his process he was awarded the Oustanding Resident award on multiple occasions. He obtained the M.Med(ORL) degree and was awarded the College of Surgeons Gold Medal for best performing candidate in the specialist qualifying exam.

Dr Chua believes in individualised care as each patient is unique, and strives to serve his patients with proficiency and empathy. In recognition of his commitment to service quality, he won the Service with a Heart Award twice, and also received the YouSparkle Award (Silver) and (Gold) awards.

He is passionate about research and innovation, having published in multiple international peer-reviewed journals. He has also been heavily involved in the development of novel surgical devices and tools for office-based procedures. He is an invited reviewer for a number of international ENT journals.

Dr Chua is also active in teaching, having volunteered his time with the NUS Department of Anatomy as a form of giving back to his alma mater. As a resident, he received the Inspiring Resident Educator Award. He concurrently serves as Clinical Tutor in NUS and as Clinical Instructor in Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School.

In order to further hone his skills, he is currently attending a matched fellowship in Advanced Rhinology and Skull Base surgery at Texas Sinus Institute, Houston, United States of America.
