Dr Sok Yan Tay, Annabelle graduated with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2007. As a medical student, she was awarded the Jane Prize in Paediatrics in 2006. She completed her residency in Otolaryngology and was accredited as a Specialist in Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) in 2014. 

Dr Tay completed her USMLE exams (Step 1 to Step 3) and received ECFMG certification in 2015. She was awarded an Academic Medicine Development Award (AMDA) in 2015 for a Paediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship and spent a year (2016-2017) in the renowned Texas Children’s Hospital in the United States of America as a clinical fellow in their American ENT Board Accredited Paediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship Program. She has done an observership in Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.

She is trained in both routine and complex surgical procedures specializing in paediatric airway reconstruction surgery for children with congenital and acquired airway stenosis. Her other interest is in paediatric sleep apnea. Dr Tay enjoys teaching and has mentored multiple medical students and residents. She has published consistently in peer-reviewed scientific journals and had presented her research in both regional and international meetings. She is very interested in improving pediatric trachy care and tonsillectomy care in the hospital and community in Singapore and in the region.
