PROF PETE BATRA
Professor and Chairperson Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery Rush University Medical Center USA Pete S. Batra, MD, FACS currently serves as the Chairperson of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. He holds the Stanton A. Friedberg, MD Endowed Chair in Otolaryngology and is a Professor in the Rush Medical College. He is the Director of the Rush Sinus, Allergy, and Asthma Center. He was previously an Associate Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and Co-Director of the Comprehensive Skull Base Program at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
Dr. Batra completed his internship and residency training at Northwestern University and then pursued fellowship training in rhinology and skull base surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. He has co-authored more than 200 peer-reviewed articles, invited reviews, and book chapters and delivered 400 lectured nationally and internationally on sinus disease and minimally invasive skull base surgery. His academic distinctions include American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery Distinguished Service Award twice, Best Doctors of America, the Cleveland Clinic Innovator Award, and Cleveland Clinic Head and Neck Institute Teacher of the Year Award. Dr. Batra is active in the American Rhinologic Society, currently serving as President of the society. Dr. Batra is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a fellow of the Triological Society, American College of Surgeons and American Rhinologic Society. |
