SARC TRAVEL GRANT
The SARC Travel Grant aims to:
- Support local medical residents and young trainees in presenting research at reputable international conferences
- Promote academic development and global exposure
- Enhance representation in the medical community
Number of Awards: Two (2) travel grants will be awarded per year.
Maximum Grant Amount: Up to SGD 2,500 (actual amount awarded may vary by individual)
Supported Expenses:
- The grant may be used to support (fully or partially) the following:
- Airfare (economy class only)
- Conference registration fees
- Accommodation (standard hotel rates)
The grant does not cover:
- Meals and daily allowances
- Local transportation (e.g., taxis, trains)
- Travel insurance
- Visa and administrative fees
Eligibility
- Applicants must:Be a current local medical resident/trainee/Medical Officer/House Officer
- Have an accepted abstract (oral/poster) at an overseas Otorhinolaryngology meeting
- Be the presenting author
- Priority will be given to first-time applicants

- Applicants must submit:Completed application form
- Abstract acceptance email/letter
- Conference details (programme / website link)
- Essay for the application
Application Timeline
- Applications must be submitted between 1 - 30 June 2026
- Late or retrospective applications will not be considered
Reimbursement Process
- Grant will be reimbursed after travel
- Required documents:Original receipts (flight, hotel, registration)
- Certificate of Attendance or Presentation
